The 7 day cleansing diet is where you spend 7 days clearing your body of the toxins which you are currently consuming, so that you can begin clearing toxins that your body has stored. During these 7 days, you should not eat any food or drink that is not a part of the diet. You should also not smoke or drink alcohol.

It is important to clear out these stored toxins since they can make you tired, lethargic, irritable, and can cause sleeping problems. Once you have eliminated these harmful toxins from your system, you should feel better, look better, and sleep better. This is not a diet that should be done once, but you should cleanse your system on a regular basis to keep your body functioning at an optimal level. Some recommend cleansing your system at least twice per year, but others prefer to use this 7 day cleansing diet once every few months.

On a final note, if you have any conditions such as hypoglycemia or diabetes, you may want to talk this diet over with your doctor before you give it a shot. You will want to make sure that you are still eating the foods that you should at the times that you should, to keep your condition from causing negative symptoms.
