What should be your ideal weight and how to calculate it?

Calculating ideal weight is necessary in order to establish the overweight level the calculate ideal weightperson has, which leads to follow a realistic goal, instead of trying to look like someone else. That is the first step for succeeding on a weigh-loss management program.

Although there is not only one way to calculate ideal weight, there are some parameters that can be taken into a count. However, it is worth to keep in mind that the results of these calculations are a range of healthy weights, even when what appears on the lists may be a unique number for every height. Besides, there are some facts, as age and body frame size, which may affect the final numbers.

As the following table helps to calculate ideal weight, depending not only on height, but also on body frame size, the first step is to calculate it before looking at the numbers. Wrapping the smaller part of the wrist with the thumb and major finger can be useful for a quick calculation. If both fingers touch, then the person in "Medium frame"; if they overlap, the person is "Small frame"; and if they do not touch at all, the person is "Large frame".
