Fixing Your Cellulite Problem

Cellulite is a big problem for many women. Although genes determine where on your body your cellulite will appear, you do have some level of control over it if you get any and -how much you'll have. Diet and exercise can play a big role in cellulite development. For example, if you eat fatty foods and do not exercise, chances are that you will begin to develop cellulite. If you eat right and exercise on a regular basis (at least 30 minutes 3 times per week), you can help prevent the rate and amount of your cellulite development. Some people who eat very healthy diets and exercise daily can even get rid of whatever cellulite they do have or prevent cellulite development altogether.

Foods That Prevent Cellulite Development:

  • Fruits such as apples, oranges, plums, peaches, grapes, and kiwi.
  • Vegetables such as cucumbers, bell peppers, green beans, carrots, and lettuce.
  • Whole grains such as wheat bread, wheat pasta, brown rice, whole grain bagels, and whole grain English muffins.
  • Dairy products such as skim milk, non-fat yogurt, non-fat cottage cheese, non-fat sour cream, and non-fat cheese.
  • Drinks such as water, tea, natural juices, and coffee.

Foods That Promote Cellulite Development:

  • Baked goods such as cakes, cupcakes, doughnuts, cheese cake, and muffins that are not low-fat.
  • Candy such as chocolate bars and peanut butter cups.
  • Drinks such as soda and flavored drinks.
  • Grains such as white bread, pasta, and rice.
  • Dairy products such as whole milk, cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, and ice cream.

The next time you go grocery shopping, keep your thighs, buttocks, or other problem areas in mind and carefully think about what you decide to put in your cart. Keep foods from the "Foods That Prevent Cellulite Development" list and limit the foods you purchase from the "Foods That Help Promote Cellulite Development" list.
