Yohimbe is the bark of an evergreen tree, which has been used as an aphrodisiac for centuries. Only until recently did researchers discover the bark could increase fatty acid mobilization and lead to weight loss.

Also called Pausinystalia yohimbe and Corynanthe yohimbe, the bark is found in western Africa.

If you experience difficulty breathing, a change in heart rhythm or a paralysis in your legs, stop taking the products containing yohimbe.

Finally, even low doses of less than 20 mg per day can result in abdominal pain, dizziness, vomiting, weakness, diarrhea and elevated heart rate.
