The candida diet is the best method to fight with this yeast/fungus infection

Candidias is an illness caused by the excessive candida albicans fungus growth, usually in the oral cavity, vagina or diaper. While the fungus is present in every human body, it doesn't usually overgrow. Candidias starts usually only when the natural balance of our bacterial flora is disturbed and there are too few beneficial bacteria to kill the excess fungus. Candidias, though it is an extremely common disease (most of people have it at least once during their lives), can be easily fought using the proper diet and, in more severe cases, fungicidal medications. Though oftentimes the diet itself is enough to cope with candida overgrowth, it is recommended to contact with the doctor immediately, especially if this is the first time you suffer from candidias.

Even though it is sometimes backed up by the medications, candida diet still remains the main weapon you have against the fungus overgrowth. That's why every candida diet should exclude or seriously limit all products containing:

  • sugar
  • gluten
  • fruit
  • wheat
  • corn
  • yeast
  • mushrooms
  • milk
  • vinegar
  • caffeine
  • alcohol
  • food preservatives

All of them are either made using yeast (and thus helps the fungus growth) or can be used by candida to feed itself. The only exception are three last positions - caffeine, alcohol and food preservatives. The overabundance of any of them in the organism might have been responsible for reducing the number of the fungus-killing beneficial bacteria. That's why it is unadvised to use them during candidias as they might slow down the recovery process.

However the choice of products becomes seriously limited, candida diet isn't only about limitations. In order to fight candida fungus effectively, the candida diet should include products containing:

  • yoghurt
  • everything that contains Acidophillus bacteria
  • fiber
  • garlic

Acidophillus bacteria is a beneficial bacteria that limits the fungus growth by producing hydrogen peroxide that directly kills the candida. Yoghurt and garlic also have limited fungicidal effect and fiber helps restore the microbial balance in the organism, slowing down the fungus' growth.
