Info on Diets

You can still have a candy while following a diet.

Candy is an archenemy of most dieters. Most candies are high-calorie low-nutritional value, but are also the hardest products to give up when starting a diet. Certainly, a candy (or rather lots of candies) can be responsible for a large percentage of dietary plan failures - it is just too tasty to simply give it up. Because candies tend to be very small, there are many people who are on a diet, but keep eating them because "they are so small that it doesn't make any difference if I eat them or not". And, to tell the truth, a single candy a day doesn't change anything, but five - does. At least that's what many dietary experts will tell you. Most of them will give you a choice: candies or losing weight. And making up your mind is not as easy as it seems, especially if we like eating candies - the habits die hard.

Fortunately, we don't really have to make the choice at all We can still lose weight while eating candies! And it has nothing to do with wonder pills or other "revolutionary" weight loss methods. It is much safer and simpler - all we need to do is making our own, diet candies.

A diet candy you can make yourself.

How can you do that? Here's an example. Take:

  • 2 tablespoons of softened butter
  • a tablespoon of light corn syrup
  • a half of teaspoon of vanilla
  • 4 pinches of salt
  • a cup of powdered sugar
  • some decorating sprinkles for candies

Take a mixing bowl, coat it with the butter then leave the remaining butter in the bowl. Add syrup, salt and vanilla then mix it well, putting in the powdered sugar on the way. When you get a singular, well-stirred mass, form several small candies, sprinkle them with decorations, cover with a plastic wrap and refrigerate. The single candy (the recipe is for around 20 candies total) will have only 37 calories, so you can eat them relatively safely. If you use a sweetener instead of sugar (or better, a mix of sugar and sweetener), the candies will become even easier to add to your diet without ruining it.

There are literally hundreds of various diet candy recipes - all you need is to sniff a little around the Internet and you will surely come with a few very interesting recipes. Trying them will be a lot of fun and will let you keep your habits intact, eat tasty things and lose your weight at the same time!
