The Truth Behind the Weight Loss Diet Patch.

The newest trend in weight loss is the diet patch. The diet patch is a small square film that is temporarily glued to your body in an inconspicuous place. Much like the patch-form birth control pill or nicotine patch, the diet patch is intended to provide a thoughtless approach to losing weight and keeping it off.

The first question everyone wants to know is, "Does it work?" The answer is that its effectiveness has not been proven. The patch supposedly can be placed on the body and will immediately begin to reduce food cravings in most people. Diet patch manufacturers claim that the patch will help users lose up to 5 pounds each week.

What the diet patch makers do not tell you is that the patch likely works as a placebo. There is no information about nutrients and ingredients that are in the patch. Not even the manufacturer's web site has information about what chemicals are actually in the patch. Thus, it's difficult to assess whether or not the patch is even healthy. It is proven that the Food and Drug administration has not approved the patch. Unless the FDA approves the patch, there's a high probability that it is not legitimate.

Weight loss amongst users is likely to have occurred due to the placebo effect of the patch. It is easy to imagine that patch users believe that the diet patch works, therefore, by placing it on their bodies, they are allowing themselves to react as though the patch were curbing their appetites.

If you want to lose weight, all natural methods including exercise and a controlled diet have proven for years to be the most effective method. Quick fixes will only cause you to have an altered metabolism and slower metabolic response time. It's better to stick to a low intake diabetic diet if you're looking for a low sugar diet
