Foods High in Protein: A Dieter's Secret Friends

Foods high in protein are important to keep in a healthy diet. Protein gives the body the fuel it needs to build muscles and to keep strong and heal. Protein is also harder to break down than carbohydrates, forcing the body to burn more calories to burn protein. Only a few handfuls give you all the fuel you will need for the entire day.

For vegetarians, it is worth noting that eggs and dairy have strong amounts of protein, and if you are vegan, soy is a great provider of the necessary proteins your body needs to function at its full capacity.

The choices are numerous, but always make sure to get enough protein so your body can remain strong and healthy.
