A good diet will not just produce short-term results, but will be effective for long-term weight loss. Steady, slow weight loss is the best and a good rate to go by is one or two pounds per week. You will be more likely to keep the weight off and avoid unhealthy yo-yo dieting or diet cycling. For a good diet plan, keep in mind the need for regular exercise, well-balanced meals that provide nutrition from a variety of sources and pay attention to your personal needs.
