Three interesting recipes for detox diet programs.

First, a word of warning: some detox diets, especially in their extreme forms (like water fasting) may cause serious health problem and, in the most severe cases, result in liver or kidney damages. Even those less strict diets may pose a threat to your health depending on your personal health status and the efficiency of your digestive system. Before starting any detox diet make sure to consult it with your doctor. Fortunately the recipes presented below can be incorporated into most other diets, too - detox diets are usually so strict that anything passing their "quality standards" will fit into other diets, too.

Roasted Cauliflower

It might not seem so, but the roasted cauliflower is extremely tasty in addition to being healthy (full of vitamin C, for example). Both the ingredients and preparation are extremely simple, making it very easy to prepare even for the most inexperienced cooks

 Detox Diet Recipes.

  • Ingredients: a cauliflower (cut into florets), two tablespoons of olive oil, salt and pepper.
  • Preparation: heat the oven to 400 degrees, put cauliflower, oil, salt and pepper into one bowl, then toss. Then place it in the oven and keep there for 25-30 minutes.

Roasted cauliflower is not only a recipe for detox diets. It is excellent as an add-on to other dietary meals, especially those calling for giving up potatoes, rice and pasta (it makes an excellent replacement of those).

Detox Broth Soup

Another easy recipe for a detox diet. This soup contains a lot of alkaline minerals that are supposed to cleanse your body of the toxins and should be considered an important part of every detox diet.

  • Ingredients: a cup of carrot tops, a cup of celery tops, a cup of beet tops, three liters of distilled water, one and a half of celery stalk, a cup of red skinned potato and a half of zucchini.
  • Preparation: chop everything into possibly small pieces, place them into the pot, then boil under the lid. When the water is boiling, lower the heat and keep the soup on the oven for about twenty minutes. Strain and serve.

Detox broth is an excellent addition to all diets. Just remember to spice it then - since most spices aren't allowed during detox diets, they are not included in this recipe.
