Studies have shown that fat actually helps you absorb more of the nutrients found in healthier foods. A little fat with your meal is a good thing. The problem is in the definition of "a little fat." When people eat a no-fat diet they find it is a good excuse to eat as much as they want. Not only does the food not taste as good, you are still fooling yourself that you are eating healthfully. The only true and tried way to lose and control weight is to eat healthy and exercise. It has to become a lifestyle, not a diet. Some people may have great success on a certain type of diet, however, the minute they go off of it, the weight comes right back.
